Head Coach Todd Hinegardner and I go way back as I photopgraphed his wedding about a decade and a half ago in what was the hottest day ever recorded on planet Earth, and it just so happened to be an OUTDOOR wedding. ;-) So, there's a history there, and I also have a hard time saying "no." So when Todd asked if I could do this, I told him I would on one condition.
Get me credentials so I have total access to the event.
Done.
So, it was my plan then to not only get awesome images of the wrestlers... but also some stuff that not everyone always sees. The early morning departure, the chillin' and meditating hours before the meet. The last minute pep-talk, the national anthem, even some lighter moments... you get the picture.
