Jesse capped my week of seniors with my first visit from a Grundy Center senior this year.
Through discussion with his folks, I discovered that Jesse and I have something in common....
We both work in very small towns! :-)
While Montour and it's 285 residents is tiny, Jesse's employer, Lone Tree Restaurant, is nestled into a town of just 250 in Holland, Iowa, just a few miles northwest of Grundy Center. Jesse is a master cook at this establishment......... although I wonder because I've been told to never trust a skinny cook! :-)
Jesse and I also had the common thread of being passionate about football. I didn't let my Steelers affinity get in the way of discussing all things Packers. It was clear that while Jesse was enjoying his session..... he had an eye focused squarely on Sunday's big matchup with the undefeated Tennessee Titans!
Special props to Mama Paulette who takes home "most organized" mom of the year. It was also nice to see Jesse's father, Dean along for the festivities.
