An actor with a name destined for greatness...

Grant came to us a couple weeks back... traveling light.   A trio of outfits and an unassuming short list of requests.

The BCLUW senior shrugged when I asked him if there was anything specific he wanted me to do for him.

Then mom spoke up.

"He's really into the school plays... if there's anything you can do with that for us... that would be great!"

My wheels started churning and without much to go on I pulled out an idea from my sleep deprived brain.

All I could think of was an old Saturday Night Live bit that Jon Lovitz used to do regularly where he was "The Master Thespian."   Lovitz would always throw one hand into the air and proclaim... "ACTING!!!"    Grant didn't know it... but THAT's where I came up with for inspiration.   Add in the comedy/tragedy drama masks in behind... and BAM!   "ACTING!"

:)

Speaking of acting... have you ever heard of aspiring actors/singers changing their names to make themselves more marketable?   Of course you have... Why is this important?   Well... because, by my way of thinking... our senior thespian ALREADY has a name (and the LOOK, I might add... just check out the black and white image below if you doubt me) that people would WANT to change their name to!

GRANT STANLEY.    Maybe I'm wrong.    But that even SOUNDS like a star's name!

I'm probably embarrassing the guy.   He's just busy putting on shows like Happy Days or Suessical The Musical at Conrad for now... but I'm in the business of believing in the best in people... So, I'll call it right now.   Future star:  Grant Stanley!

While that may be a few years away... I'm confident that our future name-in-lights guy had a great time during his time in small-town Montour.  I was told that our studio got this ball rolling way back in the day when mom and dad had their wedding images by us.   This story is far from over... but the opening act, and the final scene from high school both took place at our business.   Not a bad storyline in my opinion.

Grant is on course for early graduation here around Christmas... and will not waste any time becoming a UNI Panther by second semester.   Time to get the rest of that story written.

Good luck my man.
