In reality, this was actually Round Three for me with Team Tweedy.
Big sis, Heather started the action from this crew back as part of the Class of 2011 a few years back and then was quickly followed up by brother Matthew (who could forget his James Bond-esque antics?) the very next year.
I've had three straight Tweedyless senior seaons since, but they are back... and back in a big way.
A double whammy to be exact.
Mama Michele wasted no time once the calender turned over to 2014 as she called us back in January to get her twin girls set up for senior images. Being the veteran senior mom that she is by now, she knew if she was to get the first week of August secured, she'd better not wait long.
But, in a bit of twist, her girls proved that just because they shared a womb, that doesn't mean they had to share the same season for senior pictures.
So it was then... Hannah in early August... and Bethany will make her triumphant return to the studio in early October.
Both were present for Hannah's session Tuesday so I got a little preview of what's to come once we get to Fall, but Tuesday was about Hannah.
We took just a few images of the girls together, but this day was 99 percent for the twin with the longer hair. (I was told that THAT was an easy way to differentiate... or that i could go with the fact that the shorter haired Bethany had a birthmark under nose) Hey... whatever help I can get... I'll take... even if it is an alliteration. :)
Hannah had done a little homework and had a few requests for me... some do's and don'ts, but as her mother put it... they just really wanted the images to be "simply sweet."
So that was our goal as we set out on this humid, damp, foggy morning.
We popped out of the Hummer the first time and Michele referred to her daughter as "Hannah Banana." I wondered allowed... is it a RULE that all Hannah's are called that?
It must be.
There were no actual bananas involved on this day, but if you ask Michele, she'd tell ya that the wet grass and undershirt that kept creeping into view was driving her that fruity way! :)
Wal-Mart sacks on feet... and plenty of creative garment tucking... and we survived the damp conditions and took avantage of the soft morning light.
Both of the girls were as soft spoken and polite as you'll ever find... and knowing the family, they both have their hearts in the right place... so I wasn't surprised when a request was made to include a Psalm.
Michele told me that her last child... (an onery boy we'll see in about four years) might be more of a challenge, but for now, we have one half of the Tweedy Twins in the books.
We'll see Bethany in two months.
