Bailea's Birthday Bash...

Friday's are fun.

And when your birthday is on a Friday... that's even BETTER.

Add in a Friday birthday that just so happens to be the day of your senior pictures?

Epic.

My job was to make sure that I made her special day... well... special.   I didn't know it WAS her birthday until about an hour before the session.  I had nearly completed all the 4:30 a.m  to 7 a.m. work that I was going to.   So, I checked facebook... and of course, checked the day's birthday's to wish friends an amazing day... and lo and behold... my session that was to arrive in less than 60 minutes was on my lists of honorees for the day!

How cool is that?

I don't know if Mama Heidi planned it that way or not... but nevertheless... I was honored to play a small part in her daughter's 17th anniversary of her arrival on Earth.

So Bailea, Heidi and sister Brittin completed the Evenson lady trifecta and we were off to make the first half of Bailea's birthday extravaganza extra amazing.

On our way to get some urban looks, I learned that Bale's mom and I graduated high school in the same year.   This has been a struggle for me in recent years as instead of having senior parents being 10 to 15 years OLDER than me like it was in my first decade in business... I've now caught up to them... or maybe they've caught up to me?   Regardless, Heidi and I had fun swapping old Big Iowa Conference stories from back in the day.

But alas, we had a job to do... it couldn't be all about the good ol' days... it was about today.   Our future UNI co-ed.   Our current Gladbrook-Reinbeck volleyball hitter.   The Rebel goalie.   The Reinbeck Daycare Extraordinaire!

What I found out was that in addition to all the aforementioned attributes... and despite the fact that I tried to get my birthday girl stung by massive bumble bees... she was as sweet as they come... and willing to try anything that I asked.   Furthermore... I'm sure her Rebel coaches appreciate the fact that she's willing to go the extra mile to get the job done if need be.   In my case that Friday, it was buckling on those four inch heels one more time despite the fact they were killing her feet and she was ready to topple over while she was on those stilts.   Make no mistake, Bailea is a gamer... and willing to take one for the team if needed.

Several of Bailea Jo's very best friends have came our way this year, and for that we're very thankful   I've already waxed poetic about how amazing all the mom's have been in each and every one of the Rebel visits thus, far, but I would be remiss If I didn't mention that the apple hasn't fallen far from the tree in all the cases as well.

All top notch... and last Friday was no exception.

Thanks for sharing your birthday, with me Team Bailea.   Here's my belated gift to you!  ;)
