Shifting gears...

Thursday gave me a brief break from the blazing start we've gotten off to with the Class of 2010 seniors so I could do some work for a Stewart Photography regular.

Sherri brought her kids Nick and Elizabeth in yet again. And while the weather didn't cooperate for outdoor images... we got some sweet stuff indoor and mom was totally cool about that.

My favorite moment of the session was when we did some images of the two kids together. Now... I'm wondering what exactly I'm doing wrong as a parent... and here's why.

Big brother Nick is thirteen years old. Now... if we could all recall our thoughts and attitudes as a fresh teenager... one thing that most could safely say is that taking loving images with your four year old sister is probably not exactly a young fellas idea of a great time. Playing Xbox... yes... standing anywhere NEAR your sister? Not so much.

Enter the anomaly that is Mr. Nick here. Look at the series of four black and white images below. I didn't have to twist his arm to get these... Priceless... and as genuine as it gets. Note to all boys in the Tama/Toledo area in about 14 years.... don't mess with Little Lizzy here... or you'll have Big Brother Nick to deal with. ;-)
