Mossman Trifecta...
I've about been able to set my watch to it...
Every other year for the past half decade, Jeff and Kim Mossman have brought me another senior.
Melissa (class of '10), Clarke (class of '12) and now Emily as part of the class of 2014.
The road map has been very similar... all home schooled kids hailing from the Conrad area, all 3 outfit sessions... all with plenty of ideas of their own.
Older sis may have set the record for most homework done prior to a senior session (translation: she knew EXACTLY what she did and didn't want), Clarke will be remembered for his epic M&M's shot and Sports Illustrated Cover (it's still his profile pic on facebook! Awesome!) and then...
Then there was Emily.
Mama Kim told me there would be less "stuff" with this senior.... no sports.... but I KNEW I was still in for a treat.
Back during Clarke's session a couple years back... I was told about Emily's opportunity to do some modeling in Florida back when she was a freshman/sophomore... So, it would stand to reason that Miss Emily was an attractive young lady.
A glance at her images here tells ya my hunch was right.
The great part about Emily was that she didn't take herself too seriously. Constantly making goofy faces (I captured a few!) she never let things get mundane because there was an "Emily-ism" to make us all laugh around every corner.
Miss Mossman maximized her "looks" with three different styles... colors and hair-dos. Pulled back.. let down... and then straightened hair, the dress/jeans and short shorts girl new how to get a dynamic look in a short amount of time. Perhaps her modeling experience came into play here? I was pleased to find out that I could teach her a few things despite her previous experience... and like most seniors that leave Stewart Photography... she was drilled on the way to properly pose!
Emily traveled light, but the Mossman's DID bring one thing with them... a cute antique bench. That thing made a tour of Montour, before I finally found my favorite spot for it in a grassy field. (ask Em to show you the ones in the middle of Highway T-47, though... pretty hilarious)
I got the update from Mama Kim about Melissa's recent wedding... and Clarke attending North Central U. in Minneapolis.... From the sounds of it, Emily will be following in big brother's footsteps in the fall when she makes her trek to NCU in the Land of 10,000 Lakes.
So, I came to what I THOUGHT was the end of the line with Mossman seniors. But just when I thought the pipeline had come to an end... a couple of adopted children may extend my fortune as Jeff and Kim have taken a couple more under their wing.
My sources tell me that the NEXT phone call from Kim NOT be another two years from now... but more like 8 years down the road. God willing... I'll still be around. ;)
