No better way to end the summer...

Sun, sleepin' in, socializin', sand, swimmin', sweets, sizzlin' temps, street dances, and a softball game or two.

All things that we love about summer...

Did I mention senior pictures?

Sure, we're busy with our specialty at Stewart Photography well into the fall... but it all begins in the summer each year... and while we have our fair share of smiles through the sweat... we wouldn't have it any other way.

So when Leiah's turn for her senior session arrived... it just so happened to be on her very last day of "freedom" from another "S"-word...

SCHOOL.

The Marshalltown senior soaked up every last drop of summer before making her return appearance to our studio.  I had photographed sister Logan in a smokin' hot session of her own two years ago.   Leiah was there for the shenanigans... and no doubt... she was scheming, even then, for some shots of her own.

I had been contact about ideas in advance for Miss Leiah's session.   It's natural for a younger sibling to feel like they want a unique image of their own... even if they go to the same studio their sister did.   I understand that.   I have a brother that's just 11 months older.

And while Logan, who's one of my all time favs, certainly set the bar very high a couple years back, I had no fear that we'd come through for little sis.

First of all, If there's a prettier senior gal in the 50158 area code... I wanna know who it is... and you can kindly give THEM our business card as well.  It was no surprise because of Leiah's previous visit, and the fact that I had seen the fabulous Luense sisters annually as part of picture day at Miss Kimi's  Dance Konnection at the Community Y.

Because of this knowledge, I assured Mama Celeste that I had far more difficult issues to work through at the studio daily than having to worry about making Leiah Luense look good.  ;)

Regardless, I appreciated their input and overall care about their images, but I just knew we were gonna hit this one right on the screws... it's what we do.

So in came Team Luense that last Monday before MHS returned to classes and  we were off and running.  A little work at the studio preceded a rendezvous in Marshalltown with Papa Brant so we could photograph with the family Corvette.   It's always fun getting Dad involved... even if it is just for a little while.   So there it was... Brant's baby... and his baby girl.   Tough to beat.

After that we were all over the country side in search of those not-so-elusive amazing images.   Just like I had figured, it was truly impossible to take a bad image of Leiah.  Celeste?  You can start hating me now... because you will have impossible decisions to make very soon.

;)

We returned to Montour to do our best not to burn the studio down.  Leiah did wanna work in several candles, so we did that... followed by an epic sister's session (stay tuned for more on that).

All in all... it was another day where I kept the clients probably way too long.   Knowing Leiah, she probably coulda been spending it shopping... or yet another day at the aquatic center... but I count myself as being blessed to have her and her gang spending it with me, instead.

Thanks Team Luense... you know I think the world of you.
