I could have sworn I was done doing business with that lady.
Turns out I was wrong.
Kathi Abrahams was already a two-time offender at Stewart Photography.
Her sons, both GMG graduates, had visited me within the past 5 years. Tyler as a member of the class of 2009, and then Brandon following up three years later in 2012.
With no more sons left to be photographed, and yet a her three year "timer" going off, Kathi must've felt compelled to act again.
Truth is, her beautiful step daughter, Amy is due to graduate next spring... and she wanted nothing less than the best for her as well.
Naturally then, she went with what she knows and brought her curly haired daughter our way.
We got caught up with what the boys were up to... I wondered aloud if Brandon was still seeing Stewart Photography Alum Courtney Simons... he was. I also wondered if Tyler had ever recovered from that rainy session he suffered through six years ago... he evidently had. Both fellas have spent time serving our country's armed forces... and since my daughter is eagerly awaiting HER soldier's return from basic training in a week and a half... we had much discussion about all things Army, Navy and National Guard.
Tickled to be here, Miss Amy maybe had me snowed. She was a lady of few words, but she was up for anything.
Her outfits were on opposite ends of the spectrum. Edgey and urban followed by lacy and as country as an Iowa girl can be... it made for the perfect session. We hit the city first to do justice to her cheetah shirt, jacket and boots and then followed up by returning to good ol' rural Montour for her creme dress and crap kickers.
Either way... city or country, Amy was killin it. I've often joked with kids that are hitting every pose on the screws (believe me, some need more help than others) that maybe they've done this before. They usually laugh... but in this case... she actually HAD done it before. According to our guest for the day... I was providing the middle of three sessions for her. While that's certainly not the norm, it is what it is... and it was my job to put our best foot forward (with the front leg, bent, right, Amy?) and show her how we roll at Stewart Photography.
Amy is a member of the BCLUW Class of 2015 and thus familiar with our work as Comet Nation keeps our books busy annually. Miss Abrahams became the third young lady from the Greater Conradapolis Metroplex that we had seen in a week's time. Undaunted we went about our task of making dreams come true for another particular senior girl.
At least I hope we did, anyway.
She's patiently waited while busy season's stretch run combined with East Marshall's Homecoming blitz dropped the hammer on our studio over the past week... but she will wait no more. Turns out the girl that you see regularly at the Albion Casey's General Store with that smile on her face can model with the best of them.
Thank you for letting me have a shot this for you, Amy and Kathi... and thanks for your patience! You may come get your preview book if that interests you at all. :)
