A battle of Wills...

Sometimes, a guy just doesn't stand a chance...

Such was the case for Mr. Nick on Friday as the ONE and only brother of my secretary, Allie, had his number called to enter from the bullpen.

Only this time it wasn't to pitch... it was to get senior pictures done.

Nick would be the first to admit that he wasn't exactly looking forward to being dragged through the experience... but with two sisters and a mom that had already been thru things with me a couple of times, and the aforementioned close knit tie to the studio's inner workings, dude hardly had a choice.

We started bright and early at the Marshalltown High School baseball field, which is manicured immaculately as usual. Those that know me well are aware that I think there's little else in this world that is as beautiful as a well kept baseball diamond... so I was having a blast taking advantage of all that the MHS field had to offer.

For the most part, Nick was a heck of a sport for all the razzin' that the girls gave him the entire session (and let me tell you... they don't let up.... i thought that just putting up with Allie daily was bad...) And while Nick wasn't much for smiling... we did get some images with lots of swagga (pin that word on Al and Ash... not me). With an all-important District opening round game just a few hours away, I think Nick's mind was elsewhere... and I don't blame him. Incidentally, hats off on the big comeback win by the 'Cats later that night. Just two games separate Coach Steve Hanson and the Bobcats from yet another trip to the State Tournament.

Speaking of swagger... those that know the Wills sisters know that growing up on the rough streets of Marshalltown, it doesn't get any more gangsta then those two... get a load of the last image here. Yep... that's my secretary on the left. Straight up representin' for M-town. Word. E.S.
