Just one request...

Recently I wrote a senior blog about a request.   A rare one.

It seems like the beginning of most senior sessions begin with a laundry list of have-to's that get out on the table.

And after twenty-two years of doing this, I think I've nearly seen it all.

But, on occasion, I'm surprised.

Instead of that proverbial laundry list... sometimes we get the one-request-session.

And when GMG senior, Klayton Hartwell came in recently... we got just that.

I saw no props come in the door.   No sports stuff... no musical instruments... no special collections... no shined up sports car sitting outside... no nothin'.

So when asked if there was anything special I could make happen for him on this day, Klayton just had one thing to say.

"Just make me look good."

My marching orders were set... and so it was.   Mama Kristi, Grandma Carol, Klay and I were off to see if we could make that request come to life.

I suppose that the age-old argument of mom and son not seeing eye-to-eye on hairstyle could have been seen as a request as Kristi, on several occasions, lamented the length of her boy's hair.   But that request for a haircut would have to wait for yet another day, because while I've been called a digital magician in several instances, I wasn't about to rob my man of his "do."

Oh we pulled it back for a couple images just to appease Mom, but for the other 95 percent of the day, it was Klayton's trademark locks a-flowin'.

Ultimately, whether I fulfilled Mr. Hartwell's request will have to be determined by he and his family  (or perhaps his GMG friends or Taco John's co-workers will have a say?)  Most times, Facebook Nation has an opinion as well.

What say you?
