Kardinal Keely

It's no secret that yours truly is a die hard Cubs fan. Die being the operative word.... as in... will probably die without seeing a World Series Championship.

Sigh.

And for the past few months, since booking her senior session with our studio, Keely here has made it known that she loves the enemy. The St. Louis Cardinals. Not only does she love her Redbirds... but she loves to razz me about it. Pretty tough to get an upper hand in arguments when your franchise has let legions of fans down for over 100 years, BUT!! Being the silver-lining type of guy that I am... I've been hanging my hat on the fact that the Cubs have won the NL Central Division the past two seasons.

So, when we got to Keely's session on Tuesday... I decided to pull out all the stops. Keely and her mother and two friends were greeted with a sign on the door proclaiming that they were entering a studio owned and operated by a proud fan of the 2-time defending NL Central champs. My 3x5 "W" flag that shimmies up the flagpole at Casa de Stewart in LeGrand had found another home boldly in the studio front room. And Keely's changing room had another sign on the mirror that read "you'd look better in blue."

But we weren't done there. Miss Keely got a taste of my full wardrobe of authentic Cubs' jerseys. As she changed outfits... so did I. One after another. Soto road grey, Soriano home white, Zambrano road blue, Theriot road grey, Sandberg road grey, and vintage Billy Williams wool #14. Mix in my floppy hat and a healthy dose of smack... it was ON!

The session was a lot of fun and she and her mom were good sports putting up with all my fanaticism. In the end... I had to create some cool Cardinals images.... clearly against my religion... but that's what pros have to do. Lastly... I jumped in an image for fun with Kardinal Keely... check it out at the bottom here. HAH!
