Wednesday afternoon was a blessing as I got to photograph the 3rd of the three fabulous Morris sisters from Conrad. Jaci ('04) and Laura ('08) led the way and Morris sister version 3.0 was Krista.
Affectionately known as "Krit" by her friends, she was the fifth starter off the newly crowned state championship softball team that we've had the pleasure to photograph in the past few weeks.
Krista has held down the shortstop position for the past couple seasons for the Comets, and this past year, #29 added the longball to her repertoire as she belted four round-trippers while hitting cleanup during a sparkling 37-4 season that ended just three weeks ago with she and her teammates hoisting the trophy that only one team in class 2A gets the honor of.
I would be remiss if I didn't mention Krit's mom, Karen, who I feel like I've gotten to know fairly well over the past six years. It seems like I've never seen this woman without a smile on her face. Overwhelmingly positive and friendly... it's been refreshing to visit with her each and every time she's been into the studio... not too mention the times our paths have crossed in gymnasiums and at ball fields. What a great example you've set for your daughters... and not surprisingly, the fruit hasn't fallen far from the tree.
Thanks for your loyalty, Morris family.
