And the show goes on...

Our week got off to a chilly misty start as Gladbrook-Reinbeck senior, Rachel took advantage of an inservice day at her school to get her senior images done.

It almost didn't happen however.

I received a call late last week from Rachel's mom, Lori. There had been a death in the family... Rachel's great uncle. So... after weighing their options... it was determined that Mom and Dad would attend the funeral, and family friend Joan King would take over "mom-duties." ;-)

That hurdle was cleared and we were on for Monday...

Then Mother Nature decided to be ornery.

With a HARD freeze Monday morning... and temps getting not much higher than the mid-30s, Rachel was a trooper to the nth degree. I'm positive I caught her teeth chattering on a couple occasions... but it was refreshing to see how game she was despite the conditions.

In fact, Mama Lori had suggested that they might re-evaluate their original plan of working in Rachel's prom dress outdoor due to the cold. She brought it anyway... and left it up to ME whether we did it or not. I told her... if she were tough enough... we'd do it.

I put the dress off to the end of the session... hoping it would warm up a little... Unfortunately 39-degrees and a fine mist in the air followed by a steady wind didn't give Rachel the indian-summer fall day that she was envisioning... but the images are adorable regardless.

Hat's off Rachel... your a gamer. Special thanks to Joan for all her help and last-minute willingness to stand in.
