She was GOING to be the FIRST senior of the year....
And ended up nearly being one of the last.
Kaci's mom mentioned something to me back when Kaci was just a sophomore that she was interested into going to Pella around Tulip Time to take advantage of the scenery. I was game... I went to college there... i know my way around town. So it was on....
And then upon further review... it was off.
In a complete 180... the Hoskey's decided that fall color would compliment Kaci's hair (and it does)... so October it was... and we waited... and waited... and it rained... and we had a hard freeze... and another... and Mama Connie got uneasy...
Finally, the day was upon us... and both Connie and her husband Jary made the visit... It a morning full of laughs and lots of stories and ribbing. Our families are connected as a greater part of the East Marshall family... but also that my only daugher is good friends with Kaci's oldest little sis, Kylee. My daughter has stayed at the house way up on the hill... and Ky-Ky has frequented Casa de Stewart regularly. In fact... I think Taz was over Thursday night... just hours prior to her sister's session.
Anyway... the point is that we love the Hoskeys... for all the above reasons... oh yeah.. my wife is a co-worker with Connie, too! (excuse the stream of consciousness) ;-) .... Perhaps the biggest reason we are connected that I failed to mention is... the Hoskeys are ardent HAWKEYE fans! They're may not be a better time EVER to be a Hawkeye... 7-0... and in the national stream of consciousness... Great session guys! GO HAWKS!
