Changing Rachel's mind...

Tuesday's wind blew in Rachel from Marshalltown... and she was the first to admit that getting her portrait made wasn't exactly going to be her favorite activity of all time.

That's when I step up my game...

"We'll see about that, Rachel.... if I can get you to leave and not think it was the worst thing ever... then I've done my job," I said.

She laughed and we were off.

Speaking of activities... Rachel had plenty of those to show off.... Bobcat tennis, band, and color guard, too.

Rachel brought a special guest with her that morning as well. Grandma Judy, who was one hip Gma. Ok... maybe I was blinded by the fact that she was a HUGE Hawkeye fan... but I thought she was cool! And when she mentioned that she was married to Al Seffinga... I knew we had another connection. (Al, who has one of the all time great laughs known to man, and my father are friends from way back... and Al's son, Mark, was one grade ahead of me in high school.... so just another small world moment).

Anyway... thanks to both ladies for another mission accomplished besides the cool windy weather. It was a blast.
