Jan brought child number two to me Thursday as we had already seen son Dustin (MHS, '05) a few years back... so it was my job to make sure that Madison (or Maddy to those that are on the inside) had images that felt different... cool... or perhaps her personal request to look "modern."
Since we've photographed half the senior class at GMG this summer, the job is getting ever-so-increasingly difficult to keep it fresh... but as I promised her a couple weeks ago when she chimed in on someone else's blog about how good the pictures she was looking at were... I would have plenty left in the tank for her.
Saying it is one thing... delivering near the end of another amazingly long week is another... but I wouldn't let blondie down here... so it was time to hit the road again and get her the modern look she needed. She'll ultimately be the judge as to whether I succeeded or not... but I can look at the images and know that she certainly did her part of rockin the outfits and being open to my whims as we scrambled around the streets of Marshalltown.
Thursday was just another session where I felt like I really connected with both the senior and her mom. I probably got more questions from Maddy and Jan as I asked them... so... it just felt like hanging out with friends again, instead of actual work. They got the low-down on all things photography, and I think I may have surprised them on how much I was aware and "plugged in" to all things GMG. (hard not to be after all the Wolverine love over the last 3 1/2 months). ;-)
So, we all got up to date on all the dirt about each other and in the meantime... got yet another random amazing session put in the books. Thanks Maddy-Q and Mama Jan. You both rocked it.
