The Galloway way: Saving the best for last...

Tyler wouldn't argue.

But his brother and sister might.

After a nine year hiatus, I finally photographed another Galloway. Jared was in for the class of 2002 and, sister Emily in '03.

Finally, as a member of South Tama's Class of '12, Tyler was ready to bust out his session... but even then... we had to save the best for last.

A lot of times, fellas have their one thing that really means the world to them... in this case... we had about four... and I got the question right out of the gate from Papa Darwin when they came in the door.

"Can we go out to his house at the end of the session?"

The answer was yes, of course... and the intent was clear...

Bring out the Tyler Toys.

A 1977 Dodge Ram pickup, a 2002 Pontiac Grand Am, a Honda 4-wheeler, and a rifle for good measure.

Probably a good thing I said yes to the request to hit the Galloway residence as none of those four things made the trip to the studio! ;)

So, I tortured Tyler with the "regular" stuff for a couple hours before we hit the road for what Tyler REALLY wanted. Once there we went through the parade of vehicles (and even had to PUSH the old Ram into position when the humidity caused it to get ornery and not wanna start) and then we finished with his weapon of choice.

The session was unique in that I was dealing with a couple of easy goin' fellas in Tyler and Darwin. My real connection with the family came from Emily, who used to work at the studio for a brief time back when she graduated from high school... and Tyler's mom used to work with my wife back in the day. But on this day... it was just the guys... and rightfully so as we had a testosterone-filled stretch going there over a couple of week as we did 10-of-12 senior sessions that were guys.

That being said... the girls were about ready to represent in a big way to even out the scales. (Hint: the next 10 blogs you're gonna see.... Estrogen City.... stay tuned).
