All the magic Beanes in the bag...

A span of ten senior classes...

Five seniors...

One family.

I've been wracking my brain over the past few days trying to recall if I've EVER had five seniors from just one family... and the fact that my iron trap isn't spitting it out, tells me that it hasn't.

All GMG Wolverines, Dennis and Kathy Beane have been sending me child after child after child, after child...

After child.

The last baby girl, Melody, got to sing her tune finally a couple weeks back. It wasn't her first trip to the studio... in fact... she had been in several times. She had been to a couple of her sibling's sessions... a couple family sessions, and she had even job shadowed me a couple years back as a sophomore!

I remembered at that time... I was surprised with how much she had changed from the previous family session in 2006 (short... chunky... afro hairstyle ;) ) And as much of a transformation there was between '06 to '09... there may have been an equal leap between '09 and '11.

The last Beane in the bag has quite obviously turned into quite the sight as GMG's recently crowned Homecoming Queen had all the styles workin' with insane 5-inch heels... shades... hats and even softball bats...

With that much loyalty from one family... it's hard not to love each and every one of 'em. And while Amanda ('03), Denise ('04), Mary ('07) and Arley ('09) were all fun in their own right... even they will have to admit that the youngest of all the Beanes is pretty special. (I can hear the gagging noises from here!)

So while we didn't have the opportunity to get the family together this time like we had in the past, Melody made sure that I didn't want for excitement as we were all OVER the place.

I had never been to the family farm... so we did that. Ever seen five-inch heels in a hay loft?

Neither had I.

We also made a trip to Hogeland's to find a vintage car to photograph. (note to self... don't try to go to another business right before closing time). We did our urban thing on the streets of Marshalltown while we were there... And if THAT weren't enough... we had to make our way to the GMG softball diamond in Green Mountain to get her in her native centerfield where No.9 roams with deft ability in the summertime.

The sun had set before we finally wrapped things up back at the studio. We had started the session in the dark in the middle of the afternoon (check out the sparkler images!)... and we finished the same way as after five go-arounds... Mama Kathy left the studio after a senior session for the final time.

I can't thank you enough Team Beane... you're the best.
