It's all about the Chase

Chase put a bow on our week last Friday as he rolled in at 1 p.m. and put a smile on my face right away...

How can one do that?

Wear in Hawkeye gear.

;)

It wasn't one of his outfits that he wore for his session... but it gave me a little taste of SOMETHING Hawkeye in was would otherwise be a Hawk-less weekend as our beloved team had a bye week.

So... the discussion was on like Donkey Kong between Chase and I... Discussing the Arizona loss... prepping for Denard Robinson and Michigan next weekend... and even better... discussing getting to GO to games.

Chase's grandfather has season tickets not too far from where I sit, actually... so that was cool to find out that we're both screaming out the "A" when the cheer squad busts out the I-O-W-A flags after touchdowns.

So my man was on my good side from the git-go. Tell me it's "work" to have our mini-version of ESPN's The Sports Reporters with a fellow Hawkeye? Pfff... HARDLY!

I also found out during the session that while I was wrapping up my own high school football career in the fall of 1989... Chase's folks, Dana and Robert were tying the knot. What's the big deal about that, other than it eventually led to the creation of our man Chase? Well.. the former owner of my studio, John Foley... took their wedding pictures, of course! So... I have to credit John for being one of the reasons that Mama Dana was led to us in the first place. If it ain't broke... why fix it, right?

Many may know Chase's dad as the owner of The Isle of Green greenhouse in Marshalltown (shameless plug). When Chase isn't going to Iowa games... he's workin' for pops at the greenhouse. I wonder when my kids will be old enough to help out here at the studio? Hmmmm... ;-)

Finally, Chase's ONE thing that he really wanted done well was to have his sweet-than-all-git-out 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse photographed.

I think I drove several vehicles that barely would start consistently my senior year of high school... so... yeah... envious. We did a few shots with the doors flared open and the hatch popped and the thing looked like a dang space ship! It was impressive to be sure.

So... your book is ready, my Hawkeye friend. Hop in that pimpin ride and come get it.
