Usually, the onus is on me to make sure there's a ton of variety... a dynamic range of looks, with every senior session.
That's why this senior picture thing has grown by leaps and bounds over the years... People want variety... not just the over the shoulder image wearing a sweater like way back in the day, right?
Enter Jaylen.
Now, it may be a bit of an exaggeration... but this girl made my job easy in the variety department.
After the first outfit (plus she was a little late getting there to start the session)... I was wondering what was taking so long in the changing room.
And then she came out.
Time after time after time... Jay came walking down the hall from the changing room to the camera room, and I had a COMPLETELY different girl.
I noticed it first in her attention to detail in her eyes. The girl coordinated the shadow with her outfit and changed to to match each and every time. Check it out... Green, then pink... then red... then brown, then blue.
And, of course... the SAME hair style for the entire session was never gonna suffice! Both side down and curly... then one side up... then time to bust out the flattening iron. It was like five sessions in one because it wasn't merely just clothing changes... it was a complete transformation.
The only unfortunate part of Tuesday morning was the fact that our young lady was suffering from a sore throat. Everyone knows that I love to talk and get to know my senior clients... That became a bit tougher on this go-around as Jaylen had no voice. Suffering from a vicious sore throat... her voice was barely audible... down to a whisper at best... She gave it a try to talk to me when she could... but it was a raspy soft answer... followed by her brillant smile... and dumb photographer guy shrugging because he couldn't quite make out what she said.
*shrugs*
Luckily for both of us... it didn't prevent us from getting amazing images. Hope you feel better, Jaylen.
