I hadn't even had a chance to introduce myself, but I felt like I must help.
Wednesday morning at 8 a.m. when little Brianne arrived I was ready... She was ready. The weather was NOT ready.
As so many days have started this senior season... we were getting poured on. And I thought to myself... dang... she's probably spent the greater part of the last hour or two trying to look her best. So I went out back... got drenched... and grabbed my BIG umbrella that we keep in the back of the Hummer to create shade occasionally, and brought it up front. The Benjamin's pulled up... and i sprung into action. Out the door I came.... I busted out the umbrella... and Miss Brianne had a dry path in the door despite the driving rain around us.
Who said chivalry was dead? :-)
I helped Mama Barb in the door and got all the stuff inside relatively unscathed and it was on like Donkey Kong.
Ok... maybe we had to wait a couple of hours to finally get outside... but in the end... it was worth it. We ended up treading water, so to speak, inside for that rain delay. Got her amazing cheerleading images done ahead of schedule and eventually, we got out the back door.
Clearly this young lady could be photographed in a junkyard and would make it look good, but fortunately for us... we got to take advantage of some beautiful soft overcast and some cooler temps to get some spots that we normally wouldn't in a morning session.
In the meantime... I had a great time talking to Bri about getting to experience her second softball state championship in as many summers, in addition to continued Comet cheerleading intimidation (you'll find Miss Benjamin at the top of most of the amazing Comet stunts) and for good measure, I got a facebook friend add from Brianne's beau, Ben, DURING the session. How about that?
Thanks for your patience Bri and Barb... it paid off!
