WHEW! Hannah survives Stewart Photography!

As was previously mentioned, it was a tad bit warm last Thursday... so when Hannah told me that she wanted to get all of her indoor done first and then buzz out to her home just south of Marshalltown, I'm not gonna lie... I was relieved in some sense.

So... Hannah and I and her mother, Kristin, stayed chill in the camera room most of the afternoon. We did have to work around Lil' Hannah's poor ankle that she had tried to wreck the week prior in volleyball practice. A couple of different shoe choices... and some very careful jumping poses for cheerleading were in order... but other than that... she was a trooper.

We got the indoor done... and then it was time to make the trek to the Van Gundy's BEAUTIFUL home. And while there... we continued to stay cool by shooting inside for awhile. Look at Hannah Jelou in her big comfy chair!

I know the Van Gundy's open their home quite often to Hannah and her sister's friends, and anyone that's been there probably thinks one thing when they first see it........ WINDOWS!

Trying to describe it wouldn't do it justice in this forum, let's just say that keeping all that glass clean would require owning stock in Windex. Dang! :-)

Initially, there was almost TOO much light coming in for my liking... but once the sun sank a bit... it was ON! Unfortunately, for me... I think by that point... I had worn sweet Miss Hannah down. We had been in and out a bunch... it was no doubt, a long, long day. But, I felt a responsibility to do their property some justice... and eventually we got there. Fortunately for me, Hannah didn't let the session length drag her down... and she allowed me to get my fun in on this new "playground." Several times I had said that we were "done" only to make her jump into another spot and try something else... What can I say? I wanted to leave no stone unturned.

Yes... we're epically behind in keeping up with our June and July pace. The month of August has been SO busy... it makes my head spin. Thanks to the Van Gundy's for their sharing of your home.... your patience, your toughness in the heat... and most of all.... your friendship.

Enjoy your images... I'm proud of what we accomplished. ;-)
