I've joked with senior girls for several years now about how I wish the gals would bring back the hair of the 1980s.
A child of the hairspray heights of the 80s, I've often wondered as I spend yet another late night or early morning taking care of stray hairs on yet another senior girl that chose to bust out the flattening iron on her curly hair, why don't more gals embrace the waves?
Meet Miss Kienzle.
Much like her older sis, Kayla (GMG '09)... Kristine had me smiling with the thought of big hair... and much less retouch on Tuesday afternoon. This gal was WORKIN' the big hair... and I'm not gonna lie... I like it.
While she didn't have the trademark 80s bangs or wings... it was refreshing to see a gal comfortable in her own style that God gave her.
It was great to see Kristine again... because she had been to the studio when we had done Kay's, so I knew she was looking forward to coming back. So we pulled out all the stops to make sure Kris was different than Kay...
If you might be wondering... the double image below is of our senior and her grandmother who had done some modeling back in the day... Kris is wearing her grand mama's ring there, too. How cool!
In addition, it also got "easier" to keep the sister's pictures different, as I got the pleasure of being welcomed to the Kienzle farmstead east of Garwin. And while I learned that making a farmer give up his tractor for "just pictures" when he's trying to farm is never a good thing... we did get some fun images on the country-side, and took advantage of some neat landscaping. Thanks, Kris and Jayne... and shame on you Kayla, for not coming back! Grrrr! :-)
