Logan get our week off to a flying start...

I could tell you that after seeing Logan while I took dance pictures for The Dance Konnection the past few years in Marshalltown that I DIDN'T want to do her senior portraits some day...

But, I 'd be lying.

Some faces stand out from the rest... and anyone that knows this young lady knows what I'm talking about. That being said... I've NEVER been one of those guys...

"Umm... hey Logan... how about you let me take your senior pictures next year?"

Just not my style... Why? Don't like putting people on the spot.

Ok... that's a lie. I can't take the rejection. Maybe it's a little of both.

So... I just plug along... just trying to do the best I can, and hoping that my work will speak for itself... and things will just take care of themselves.

If Logan thinks I'm good enough, then she'll come to my studio... if not... then it wasn't meant to be.

Fortunately for me, it was good enough with this one.

Logan's mom, Celeste called a couple months back and set this up... and there could have been a little happy dance when I got off the phone. Jus' sayin'. :)

So, booking something is one thing... Delivering is entirely another. So we set off to do this young beauty justice Monday bright and early... and it didn't take long for people to start reminding me how fortunate I was.

We ran over to a town nearby to get some urban looks and you ought to have seen them coming out of the woodwork. Dudes everywhere rubbernecking and just happening to stop by to make a suggestion or two... I saw one guy intentionally drive by slow... and go to the end of the block and come back... even slower this time.

The best was an older fella... probably in his 70s or 80s who saw Logan, her sister, Leiah and their mom and I crossing the street... and the guy stops... stares... looks at me and says... "Well... how do YOU rate there, young man? Getting to walk around with THOSE three beauties!" HA!

So, it was amazing session and we found time to work in Dad's 1982 Corvette (bought new back in the day... and he's still got it!)... we got sis into the action... and if I may say so... Logan rocked a sweet pair of Oakley's as well.

Team Luense has been patient all week and very complimentary towards me on Facebook... you can't buy that kind of advertising... so thank you. I hope the images lived up to the hype. ;-)
