No nonsense Nick

I've seen the look before...

It's a look that's hard to describe... but I saw it again on the mother of Tuesday morning's senior.

Lisa had managed to, at the VERY least... get her son here. But after that... she had a look that said... "hey... I tried." In fact... I think the words, "he's been no help," were uttered by the exasperated mom.

I think what I'm trying to explain is a frustration that many moms feel about their teenage sons.... TRYING to get them fired up to be here when they know, in the end, it's probably a losing battle.

So, Nick fell into the category of, I'd-rather-be-almost-anywhere-than-right-here. But, that's ok... I'm used to it by now. ;-) It was my job then to minimize his torture... get mom happy and get some killer images in the meantime.

Ultimately the Flamme's will have to be the judge if I succeeded, but I think we took a pretty good run at it.

Probably Mama Lisa and I's biggest frustration was getting Mr. Nick to smile on Tuesday. I tell ya what... his orthodontist did a fabulous job... because I DID see a couple smiles... just not when I had my finger on the trigger. Nick was determined to not give us that look... so... I'm gonna implore some of his classmates that we've photographed already from Gladbrook-Reinbeck to work on that for his mother's sake. Lisa DESERVES to have a return on that $6000 investment... so I'm throwing it out there to Alyssa, Hillary, Kelli and others to work on this guy and his smile! ;-)

I hope that Nick, in the end, didn't think it was as bad as he thought it might be. The dude wanted a tough persona... and heck... one doesn't play fullback and linebacker in The Pit in Gladbrook without having stone cold looks most of th time. Right?

Thanks for putting up with me for a few hours, Nick... hang in there Lisa! :)
